Renting a Villa in Spain
IF one comes to Spain on a short visit of about two weeks, you may as well stay in a motel or hotel. If your employer is paying for your visit here, then you will be surely staying in a three-star hotel the least. But if you’re here for schooling that will last for about six months, then you may as well rent a villa and share that structure with your classmates so you can pool your resources together concerning utility payments such as electricity, high speed Internet connection and water.
Immediately after checking into a motel, the first order of the day must be to check out a real estate agent so he or she can tour you to all the villas up for rent. These villas in Spain, especially in the coastal areas, are usually owned by British foreigners who lease them during the winter and other non-summer seasons to other visitors. During the summer season, the British owners will take over and enjoy their vacation here. There are a lot of British expatriates in this country and they just juggle from here to their home country and back here. They are attracted to the temperate climate in Spain where the temperature is as high as 22 degrees Celsius, very suitable for beach fun such as tanning, skinny dipping, surfboarding, scuba diving and parasailing, among others. Although, there are abundant nudist beaches here that the British love to enjoy and they surely can relax here compared with the urbane stress they feel at home. Besides, British resorts are periodically inspected by the European Union for environmental quality.
So the villas situated in Spain usually are very suitable for renting because they are used by the owners themselves. They are even fully furnished as these same appliances, furniture and other furnishing are used by the owners themselves when they are here during summer. So you don’t need to check out if the appliances really work but to be sure, just do the visual inspection. When you have the potential property to be rented inspected which is not compulsory by the way as compared to it being sold, then you may as well check it out yourself with your friends in tow.
Depending on the agreement between you and your classmates, you may want to rent the villa exclusively for your own sex or you may want to rent it as a coed one. You can even have an arrangement to share your room with a member of the opposite sex, that entirely depends on you. Your real estate agent will merely abide what you want. After that aspect has thoroughly been agreed upon, you may want to check out the property for vermin infestation just to be extra careful. Of course, you don’t expect any when the villa in question is used every summer by the owner. Then you may want to check out if the high speed Internet connection or the dishwasher or even the cable TV connection works. Whatever your choices are, finding a villa in Spain to rent is so easy.
